Where has the term gone?

With only 9 school days left of Term 1 2013 I ask myself where the term has gone? The children have had a brilliant first term. They have happily taken on all the challenges of Grade 1 and I have been really proud of what they have achieved so far.
Last week we started our new Unit of Inquiry - Going Places. The Big Red Bus is going to be a very busy place for the next 6 weeks! The Craftpower presenter was blown away by how clever the children were and how efficiently they worked. I hope you have all had fun painting and playing with their friction cars and traffic signs over the weekend. For the next two weeks, I have asked the children to bring something in for Show and Share that relates to transport. This may be a photo, a book, an object or sharing an experience.
Thank-you all for supporting your child's learning by listening to their reading and words every night. Thank-you also to our terrific parent helpers who listen to the children read throughout the week. I really appreciate all of your time and effort.
