Week 2

All of the children have settled back beautifully into school after the holiday break. I have enjoyed hearing about their holidays and I'm pretty sure that they have all grown taller too!
This week is the final week that the children can wear their Summer school uniform. As of Monday 29th of April they must be in full Winter uniform. All students are required to wear their tie when they are wearing their shirt and their blazer must be worn to and from school.
It would be wonderful if each child could please bring a pair of gumboots to school to wear when we go on walks or are on chook duty. There are some gumboots on the deck which were left at school last year. Could you please check to see if any of them belong to your child? If they do and they still fit, then they can be left under your child's bag hook. If they no longer fit, then they can go home.
Our "Going Places" unit of inquiry is drawing to a close and the children will commence designing and building their own transport of the future in the next week. The children will be using recycled materials to create their masterpiece, so if you are able to donate any small boxes or containers to the classroom that would be greatly appreciated. All donations may be left on the bench outside the classroom.
All of the free apps have been pushed out and we will start using them this week. Please ensure that your child's iPad is fully charged and comes to school everyday.
